About NCHCR
NCHCR was formed in March 2005. Independent recruiters needed an exclusive
Coalition effort to provide them with the resources larger corporations
utilize. By banding together NCHCR members represent a significant
recruiting presence in the industry. As a group, we share common
strengths and long term relationships with both our clients and
physicians. This is daily evidenced through participation on our
nationally advertised job board, split rich networking environment, locum
placement service, co-op programs, and adherence to a high ethical business
standard.
NCHCR is promoting the fact that independent physician recruiters play a
critical role in the physician placement market (permanent & locum.)
In addition to historical activities of recruiters, the independent physician
recruiter meets a need the In-House recruiter cannot.
Experienced physicians elect to seek out new opportunities at predictable points
in their careers. They are busy in their practices and need someone who
will confidentially find opportunities, discuss them with the physician, and
submit their CV on a facility-by-facility basis. Frustrated resident and
fellowship candidates often align with our service once they realize we know
how to find the opportunity they are looking for. Both groups of
physicians place themselves in a position one person removed from the In-house
recruiter. That person is the Independent Recruiter. We offer a
service larger firms often fail to provide.
NCHCR maintains an exclusive job board. Healthcare
facilities are not allowed to post jobs, but are allowed to see physician
profiles (not CVs.) If they see the profile of a physician they are
interested in, they must contact the independent recruiter who is representing
the physician. A contingency contract will be initiated with the
recruiter who profiled the physician (not NCHCR) at the time an In-house
recruiter finds a physician they desire to review as a candidate.
NCHCR Highlights
NCHCR currently has 3,500+ recruiter-profiled physicians. This is
not a down loaded database. These are physicians a NCHCR member has
profiled and is holding their CV.
NCHCR currently has 6,000+ physician (permanent/locum) opportunities throughout
the U.S.
NCHCR currently enjoys a national membership of about 45 recruiter firms,
which represents over 150 recruiters in their employment.
Recruiter profiled physician data base access for In-House recruiters who
work with contingency or retained recruiters.
NCHCR adheres to an excellent standard of business practices.
NCHCR membership is revoked if there is an infraction in our ethics by a
member (to date this has only occurred once.)

Though NCHCR is a new organization, it boasts of highly skilled veteran
recruiters who are actively involved in its decision-making processes
for the good of all independent physician recruiters.
