Hospitalist- Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity only:
Hospitalist- Internal Medicine - Hospitalist Opportunity in the Blue Ridge of Virginia!
Our client located in the south western area of Virginia has asked us to assist them in the recruitment of an additional Hospitalist for their service. They serve four-counties and have a primary population of over 35,000. The area is proximate to the greater Tri-Cities metropolitan area with a population of over 450,000 people and is closer still to Abingdon, VA one of the most beautiful communities in Virginia.
The hospital is in the process of completion of a new state-of-the-art hospital which should be finished by 2012. It is a 170 bed not-for-profit hospital and is part of a larger Regional not-for-profit system serving the entire region of the state. They have a 12 bed Swing Unit, 6 bed ICU, PACS equipped throughout, Digital Imaging and diagnostics and an 18 bed Rehab unit. A Level 1 Trauma Center is easily accessible and there is a WINGs Med-e-vac Unit based on-site.
The job is for a BE/BC Internal Medicine physician who desires a hospitalist practice. This is an employed opportunity with excellent base compensation and productivity bonus. In addition they offer an excellent benefit package including paid malpractice, sign-on bonus, longevity bonus, Student loan repayment and stipends. They offer a flexible schedule and shifts will vary from between 8-12 hours. Average census per physician is between 12-15 patients and you will have a nursing assistant to help with your schedule, discharges, prescriptions, rounding and communicating with the Primary care Physicians and patient’s family.
