Job Title: Physcial Therapy Assistant

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Physical Therapy Assistant - Physical Therapy Assistant needed for 13-week contract assignment in Medford, WI.
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Inpatient PTA – supports Med|Surg, Swing Bed, Post-Delivery Education in the OB|Family Center and SNF services. Primarily geriatric care. Wound care if trained. Physical therapist on site daily. Full-time OT, Therapy Tech, COTA, and SLP also part of daily team.

Equipment utilized in the unit|dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Hospital documentation system is EPIC. Therapy for Med|Surg and OB uses Medilinks, which interfaces with Epic. American Data|ECS documentation used in SNF.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Comfort with geriatrics necessary. Prefer 1 year of experience minimum. Wonderful if PTA has experience with OB|women’s health and wound care but not necessary. Will train as needed.

Specific licensures and certifications|registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
CPR

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Typical schedule is 7:30-4:00, Mon-Fri

Floating to other units|departments. (If so, to which units|departments?)
Not common. We do have outpatient therapy services on campus.

Bed size|number of rooms for this unit|dept.
25-bed critical access hospital, licensed for 99-bed SNF but routinely only have 50-60 residents on site.

Dress Code:
Business casual.

Tell us about the unit|department specific training and orientation program.
Onsite support available. Ease into patient care over several days. At least 1 full day of orientation prior to direct patient contact.
