Our Client that serves the Springfield and greater Philadelphia PA markets is seeking Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.

The rapidly expanding system is looking to employ Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for Full-time or Part-time positions in a number of settings within the psychiatric department. These settings include, however, are not limited to:
· Psychiatric Emergency Room
· Community Mental Health Outpatient Settings
· Geriatric Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral and Mental Health Unit

Primary responsibilities include: face to face psychiatric evaluations of Crisis|ED patients in conjunction with Crisis team, diagnosis, treatment, pharmacologic, and other forms of treatment of mental health clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health treatment both therapeutic and psychopharmacologic and is expected to be fully trained and experienced in medical evaluation, examination and treatment of mental health and substance use patients. This position is located approximately 7 miles south of the Philadelphia airport.

We are also seeking FT|PT psychiatric nurse practitioners to work in child|adult|geriatric outpatient behavioral health settings. The schedule is Monday through Friday. Provider will be performing medication management and evaluations as needed.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mastery of the protocols outlining their scope of practice, work effectively and collaboratively in a team with different disciplines and with clients from different age groups. Additionally, the ideal candidate, in consultation with the supervising psychiatrist, will recognize and respond accordingly in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients. He|she will be psychologically minded, able to recognize their limitations and be flexible enough to work with a wide variety of clients and conditions. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program that conforms to Board of Registered nursing standards, including training and|or education in the area of sub-specialty.

Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges; DEA|CDS; For Physician Assistant Graduate from accredited physician assistant program required and valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, Flexible.

This position is specifically for a Nurse Practitioner who has proven training as a Psychiatric Mental Health or Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Further, you must have ANCC certification in order for the employer to bill Medicare and Medicaid and most insurers so ANCC certification is a requirement of this position. An FNP without training as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will not be accepted as a candidate for this position.
