Job Title: Ultrasound Tech

General Summary & Purpose of Position

·         Ultrasound Tech is qualified by professional credentialing, academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Ultrasound Tech includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARDMS certification(s) which is the standard of practice in ultrasound

·         The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations to radiologists using sonography.

·         The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment cleaning maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The Ultrasound Tech maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.

Education:

An active credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required and can include Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS); Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS); Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); or Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS). An active credential in Sonography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. An Indiana State Department of Health license to perform sonography is required. Without active credentials from both ARDMS and ARRT, must have successfully completed an ARRT approved educational program in diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology and obtain credentials from ARDMS and ARRT within one year of hire. Must obtain ISDH license within six months of employment or obtaining ARRT and ARDMS certifications.

Other:

CPR Certification required.

General Comments

We're looking for individuals with a minimum of two years' experience, and we are open to paying relocation.

They are both full time positions. One is a  (36 hours|week) and the other is  (40 hours|week).  We are looking for individuals who are open to working either days or nights and willing to participate in a call rotation.  With two years' of experience, the position would start at $55k, with the max we would offer being $72K.   Wages are determine based on experience. 

Our department has newer technology, less than 5 years old. We utilize Phillips equipment and use Epic as our charting system. We perform all ultrasound services, but primarily OB imaging, abdominal imaging and thyroids.

Pay: 55k-72k based off experience, no sign on, Relo case by case
