Job Title: Child Psychiatrist Job -- All Outpatient - No Call – Student Debt Relief #2920

This progressive mental health center is adding a child and adolescent psychiatrist. This is an all outpatient position with no on-call duties. Hours are 8:30 - 5:00, M-F, no nights or weekends!

Each psychiatrist is scheduled to see between 4-6 patients per day; yes 4-6 patients per day! Intakes typically take an hour to hour and a half and follow-ups are generally about 30 minutes. You are scheduled for 37 ½ hours per week and paid for 40.

This is a city of nearly 70K. Just a 70 mile drive to Charleston and only 32 miles to Columbia. Everything is at your fingertips. An unequaled lifestyle is yours with beaches and big city amenities close by. The University of SC is just a short drive and brings you all the amenities of one of the top universities of the south. You are not required to live in the city; many working at the agency live an hour or a little more away and commute daily.

You will be a state employee with all the bells and whistles. (To begin you will have 3 weeks’ vacation, 3 weeks sick leave, 14 holidays, CME time and can choose between health plans for you and your family, out of pocket costs for a state plan for family is $130.00|month! Plus you will have a choice between a standard retirement plan or a 401K type plan.

This position is specific for a Board Prepared or Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. Requirements then are that the successful candidate would have a degree as an M.D. or D.O. with proved residency training in Psychiatry and a Fellowship in C&A Psychiatry.
