Job Title: Registered Nurse RN / VIR / Vascular Interventional Radiology

Shift|Schedule: Full-time; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available.

Job Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician order on assigned patients.
Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Delivers patient care competently.
Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.
Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegates tasks to support staff.

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Current RN license;
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
MUST have experience in critical care or PACU.
Minimum one (1) year RN with critical care and|or Interventional Radiology experience
Must be willing to obtain CRN|IR within 2 years of start date.
Knowledge of VIR procedures and sterile technique.
Knowledge of radiation effects and safety measures.
Knowledge of Radiology and the applications along with some nursing standards. Knowledge of prescribed safety standards as outlined by the Council of Radiation Protection and Monitoring.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Pay rate range: $23.33 - $34.99|hr. (depending on experience).
