Job Title: Medical Director (Pomona, CA)

Job Description

The primary focus of the Medical Director is to work closely with clinical leadership to ensure the quality of care and service provided to patients, including pregnant and parenting women.


Permanent, full-time position
40-hrs per week
Provides on-call coverage
Duties include:
Develops, implements, and oversees clinic site budgets
Acts as attending physician, providing direct patient care, including mental health and medication assessment
Participates in clinical and management leadership venues
Supervises the Nursing Director and other psychiatric team members
Responsible for performance management including, performance improvement plans, formal written warning notices and terminations of all direct reports as needed

Valid and unrestricted California medical license
Board Certified in Psychiatry and|or Addiction Medicine
Valid DEA certificate
Data 2000 (X) Waiver, or the ability to obtain the Data 2000 (X) Waiver within 4 months
Experience serving adults with chronic medical conditions and co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders
A minimum 5 years post-licensure experience in direct patient care in intensive psychiatric and|or substance use treatment settings
A minimum 2 years’ experience as medical director to a psychiatric or substance use treatment program
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Experience working with underserved communities preferred

Experience working with women suffering from substance use disorder or with a criminal justice history and their children preferred
