Job Title: Stroke Medical Director, Neurology Physician

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Neurology - Stroke Medical Director:

Seeking a Stroke Medical Director to lead health system's stroke program in Medford, OR. This position will lead the team that provides resuscitation, stabilization, assessment, and treatment for acute stroke patients at on of our Medical Centers, a 370+-bed regional referral center serving Southern Oregon and Northern California. In addition, this person will develop and enhance a thrombectomy program for acute stroke patients at the Medical Center and participate in strategic planning around the care of the stroke patient.

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Successful completion of residency training in Neurology.

License|Certification: Candidates must be board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Medical Specialties, and be fellowship trained in Vascular Neurology or have substantial experience as a stroke|neurocritical care Neurologist. Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications|memberships (i.e. ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.); Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience. Fellowship training in vascular neurology, or substantial experience as a stroke | neurocritical care neurologist. Experience performing interventional neurology (thrombectomy) procedures preferred. Advanced analytical skills regarding evaluation and treatment; ability to use professional approach to problem solving during stressful situations; communication with others shall reflect a positive attitude and enthusiasm; behavior exemplifies organizational philosophy.

This position requires a min of 3 years leadership experience plus the physician must be fellowship trained in Vascular Neurology or have substantial experience as a stroke|neurocritical care Neurologist.
