Job Title: Psychiatrist

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - Loan Forgiveness

Psychiatrist for Salem, MA.

• Board certified in Psychiatry in the Commonwealth of MA.
• Doctor of medicine degree and psychiatric training; specific knowledge of prescribing psychiatric medications and their possible side effects alone and with other medications:
• Knowledge of DSM V manual for classification of mental disorders.
• Interest|Experience in Addiction Medicine. Dual diagnosis experience is a must.
• Strong commitment and experience in community Psychiatry. Psychiatrist will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team and providers in a primary care setting.
• Commitment to providing culturally competent services for patients depending on their individual needs and preferences.
• Commitment to attend CEU’s relevant to current practice and patient population.

• Demonstrate understanding of rules, regulations (HIPAA), and clinic policies regarding patient confidentially.
• Respect and main patient confidentiality in all aspects of care.
• Treat all patients in a welcoming and respectful manner.
• Maintain a patient centered approach.
• Promptly respond to patient communication.

Clinical Services:
• Provide comprehensive bio-psycho-social diagnostic intakes and at any point needed throughout treatment.
• Provide evidence based Psychopharmacological treatments.
• Follow clinical guidelines with respect to prescribing practices.
• Follow clinic guidelines and protocols with respect to prescribing controlled substances.
• Monitor and assess for medication side effects, adverse drug events, and drug interactions.
• Consult and coordinate care with PCP.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Prescribe buprenorphine-naloxone | buprenorphine to patients who are enrolled in the MAT program and who are in compliance with treatment contract.
• Use a team oriented approach with special emphasis on communication and coordinated of care.

Indirect Services:
• Maintain patient record that meet health center, HRSA, professional, state, and legal standards.
• Complete patient records in a timely fashion.
• Respond in a timely fashion to clinical information, prior authorizations and medication refills.
• Participate in quality effort activities.
• Attend monthly providers meetings.
• Read and respond to emails and EMR communications.
• Conduct professional practice and behavior according to the policies and procedures as well as the American Psychiatric Association Code of Ethics.

Emergency Situations:
• Is aware that in order to respond promptly to emergencies, any staff member may be assigned duties that differ from those in the job description, or may be assigned temporarily to a different location or schedule.

Supervision Received:
• Chief Medical Officer or appropriate designees.
