Job Title: Executive Director Development Officer

Richland    (Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Hospital/Clinic - Administrator/Medical Director - Seeking an Executive Director Development Officer.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Director, Foundation will serve as the senior executive for staff serving the Foundation and will lead all philanthropic activity for the Regional Medical Center. The Executive Director is a member of the Leadership Team and will direct all aspects of Fundraising and administrative duties of the Foundation including working directly with the Board of Directors for the Foundation. The Executive Director, Foundation leads the strategic planning efforts and philanthropic programs of the foundation; specific core programs for oversight include major and planned gifts, annual giving, marketing, public|donor relations, prospect research and administrative management. The Executive Director, Foundation will also have oversight of any community health programs funded by the Foundations.

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

• Demonstrates and sustains compliance with the Caregiver Expectations and Code of Conduct.
• As chief strategist, formulates a growth strategy and strategic plan with the Foundation Boards, and with the Boards’ active support, builds organization-wide consensus, acquiring the resources and support for growth and effectively implementing the fundraising plans.
• Serves as an ex-officio member of the Foundation Board and serve as an advisor on all organizational matters of the Foundation.
• Remains accountable to the Foundation Board and to the Regional Medical Center Administration for assuring that all of the fundraising activities achieve the established organizations’ performance and outcome goals.
• Remains responsible for the fiscal health of the Foundation; Oversees the operating budget and maintains fiscal control over expenditures.
• Collaborates with the fundraising counsel for all Providence St. Joseph Health|SE Washington entities.
• Works with the acute and non-acute administration to ensure that the adopted fund development plan is in alignment with the strategic and financial plan of the institution.
• Remains a vigilant fundraiser for all acute and non-acute ministry settings; Develops rapport with existing and potential principal gift donors to discuss major and planned giving options.
• Develops and recommends goals and objectives for fund raising, implementing campaigns, techniques and department policies to achieve such goals for the Foundation.
• Develops effective and efficient fundraising infrastructures that maximize return on investment.
• Evaluates changing trends in philanthropy, tax, and estate planning regulations to develop new programs responsive to fundraising needs.
• Supervises staff, builds and reinforces a high performing and creative organizational culture.
• Oversees communications with the Board, works with the Executive Committee and assigns appropriate support to Board committees.Salary negotiable based on experience, full benefits package plus relocation
