Job Title: Internal Medicine

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Internal Medicine - Seeking a BC|BE Internal Medicine for Gila County, AZ. The Physician-Internal Medicine provides diagnosis and treatment for localized ailments and diseases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but not limited to the following)
•Provides comprehensive examination and diagnosis of patients through use of history, diagnostic tests and other appropriate examinations
•Diagnoses,directs, prescribes or provides treatment and|or arranges for specialized care for patients; refers patients for further diagnosis and treatment as appropriate
•Prescribes corrective procedures to conserve, improve or correct patient health through use of therapy and training
•Prescribes medications for control of infection, pain, viral, bacterial and fungal infections
•Establishes a plan of care to restore health and|or treat disease process; reviews with patient and|or patient family to ensure understanding
•Participates in a variety of committees, interdisciplinary planning groups and related activities to ensure communication and continuity of care across all areas
•Reviews medical histories and records observations of examination in medical charts to ensure proper and timely documentation
•Performs diabetic evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of complications|manifestations
•Dictates clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients to physicians,hospitals and other individuals and|or facilities
•Responds to and provides emergency treatment resulting from trauma, pain and|or infection within scope of clinical privileges
•Works collaboratively with other medical and specialty areas to discuss and obtain consultative services for cases requiring multi-disciplinary approach
•Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs|initiatives
•Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
•Maybe requested to perform duties during non-routine clinic hours and|or at other associated clinic site
•Performs other job related activities as requested|required
•Graduation from an accredited program of study leading to either an M.D or D.O.degree
•Current,unrestricted and valid State of Arizona license to practice medicine from the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners in Medicine & Surgery OR the Arizona Board of Medical Examiners
Prefer at least 5 years exp
M – F 8 hrs. possible 4 10s

$5000 per fiscal year CME allowance
•Current basic CPR designation or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
•Eligibility for Board Certification
