Job Description

The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner is to promote wellness among their patient population by providing a variety of health care services.

Details:
Full-time, permanent position
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Triage and assess patient’s needs via interviews, exams, and reviews of their medical history
Diagnose disease, illness, and injury, then determine care and follow-up procedures
With the patient, plan short- and long-term care and recommend a course of action
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including: x-rays, blood work, and electrocardiograms
Perform immunizations, injections, sutures, wound care, and infection management
Coach patients on therapeutic techniques that promote and maintain wellness
Ensure continuity of care by developing patient care plans and seeing to its completion
Document patient care services
When necessary, record statistics, perform research, and ultimately compile reports on hospital activities and procedures
Refer patients to specialists, when necessary
Prescribe all necessary medications and equipment
Educate patients on dieting, family planning, emotional wellness, and health maintenance
Aid physicians during emergency situations or during complex procedures
Direct nurses, medical assistants, and office assistants

Qualifications

Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Nursing certified
Current Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
English and Spanish bilingualism preferred
