Job Description:

Client's mission is to improve children's health with technology that efficiently connects schools, families, and healthcare providers. Healthy Schools is the Nation’s largest provider of in-school high-quality, no-cost health services directly to public school students during the school day.
The Vendor Manager role heavily involves working closely with vendors to make purchasing decisions and maintaining relationships with vendors for as long as the company uses them. Specific vendor management roles and responsibilities include communicating with vendors to ask any product or price questions, negotiating contracts to get the desired pricing, analyzing multiple vendors to decide which to use for a particular product and providing leadership over purchasing agents and buyers.
This role requires you to be a good communicator and negotiator and have interpersonal skills to effectively maintain vendor relationships. Math and decision-making skills are important for selecting vendors that best fit the company's needs. Strong leadership and organizational skills, logical reasoning skills and business intelligence are required. A solid healthcare experience is a plus. The position is based in Healthy Schools office in Jacksonville, Florida.


• Work with the Director of Logistics & Production Planning to plan and forecast procurement needs in multiple district offices across the country.
• Oversee the vendor procurement process from vendor selection, to contract negotiations and implementation.
• Drive contract and pricing negotiations with vendors.
• Onboard and manage vendors to Client’s efficiency, quality, and cost standards.
• Inspect vendor products|services and pricing|promotions to meet company goals related to cost and quality.
• Lead Operations’ procurement supply and delivery chains.
• Monitor and manage Operations vendors.
• Create, own, and provide training on an inventory management system.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical and administrative teams.
• Support the goals of the Director of Logistics & Production Planning.
• Other responsibilities as requested by management.

Skills and Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or related degree.
• 5+ years’ experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and|or vendor management.
• Experience developing and managing procurement systems, with demonstrated success in reducing cost and improving efficiency.
• Skilled negotiator and communicator (written, verbal, presentations).
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced and evolving startup environment.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
