Job Title: Clinical Educator / Infection Control Preventionist

The Clinical Educator (must be RNs) will be educating Medical Assistants- not nurses.   

The Clinical Education and Infection Control Preventionist range is 61- 91K.

Clinical Educator range is 53-79K.

Position Summary
The Clinical Educator is responsible for providing input, implementing and monitoring quality, process improvement and patient safety initiatives (e.g., Joint Commission preparedness, CLIA, PSS). This position supports education and training to clinical support staff employed at the health centers. The Clinical Educator provides input to policies, quality and process improvement projects at the health centers.
Core Job Responsibilities
• Participates in the establishing and updating of all clinical policies and procedures, and in-services.
• Supports health center staff with education and training initiatives
• Working with regional leadership, coordinates process improvement activities in accordance with organization benchmarks.
o Provides facilitation in building consensus, resolving conflict and building cohesive work groups
o Implements appropriate change management initiatives
o Identifies evidence-based gaps, initiates improvement, and measures outcomes
o Collaborates with IS in the designing of monitoring and measurement tools and in report development as assigned.
• Provides onboarding initial competency evaluation of new hire medical assistants.
• Participates in the planning and development of competency-based training programs
• Provides on-site in-services for competency assessment | product training | coaching PRN requests from both health center and regional leadership
• Provides workflow support for Medical Assistants and other health center staff as needed|requested
• Provides direction and feedback identifying opportunities to support process improvements and improved health outcomes in our clinic operations, clinical practice, and quality and research initiatives.
• Reviewer of and provides input to the review and development of clinical policy and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), required.
• RN License required
• BSN with a master’s degree in a health or health related field, preferred.
• Three to Five years’ experience as a clinician.
• Minimum 1-year process improvement and|or project management experience preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word|Excel|PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (i.e. Captivate|Articulate) preferred
