The Director of Materials Management will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with leadership, physicians, and staff.
We are seeking a progressive, experienced, and service oriented individual to lead its Materials Management Division. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that the health system meets its strategic, operational, service, financial, and quality performance goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all facets of a comprehensive supply chain program across several facilities. This includes negotiating and contracting for the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and capital equipment, as well as, receiving, storing, and distributing supplies to multiple hospital, nursing homes, and clinic locations.

He|She will play a key told in the development and implementation of cost improvement plans. He|She will support various multi disciplinary teams to improve standardization and decrease variation and costs. He|She will collaborate with the service contract management group.

He|She will join an experienced leadership team that is focused on providing patients and residents with high quality, cost effective care and an exceptional experience.

Candidate must have the ability to flex his|her hours to meet the demands of the organization.

Candidate must have the ability to travel to and work at multiple locations.

Requirements:

Education

A bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
A master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.


Certification

Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) is preferred.


Experience

Candidate must have at least five (5) years of progressive materials management experience including at least three (3) years of related leadership experience for a hospital or healthcare system.

Candidate must have a deep understanding and considerable expertise in hospital, nursing home, and physician group practice materials management operations including purchasing, receiving, storage distribution, inventory control, supply distribution, and budgeting. A strong background in surgical services products is preferred.

Candidate must have experience with cost and inventory reduction programs within the department and in other areas such as surgical services.

Candidate must have group purchasing contract implementation and management experience.

Candidate should have experience in managing various values analysis teams and processes, such as surgical value analysis.

Candidate must have extensive experience analyzing and negotiating purchase and service contracts.

Meditech experience preferred.
