(Physician/MD qualifications required) I am recruiting for a General/Trauma surgeon for an opportunity located in Northern California. They require a candidate to have at least Level I or II Trauma Center training or experience. Strong laparoscopy skills preferred. An interest in Colorectal Surgery or Surgical Oncology is a plus. The hospital (465 beds) is located in a medium sized city (225,000 population) in northern California. It offers many of the amenities of California living—including warmer year-round weather with the cost of living is much lower (especially housing cost) as compared to other California metros. This hospital has a Level II Trauma Center and is assisting the Multispecialty Group in adding its 6th General/Trauma Surgeon. This group has 25 physicians, 5 General/Trauma Surgeons, 3 Cardiovascular Surgeons, 4 GI’s, 5 Urologist, 2 ENT’s, 1 Neurosurgeon, 1 Orthopedic Surgeon, 3 IM’s and 1 FP. The hospital will assist with the overall recruiting package to include a competitive first year income guarantee, a sign-on bonus, residency/fellowship stipend, relocation expenses and Malpractice/Tail coverage. You will also receive, in addition to a salary, a stipend for Trauma call coverage. The group uses a prior years RVU production to determine the salary for the 2nd year. Call is 1 in 6 days per months taken from home. Trauma call pays $500 per day, or $30,400 per year. Overall potential earnings $300-350k per year. This city has excellent public schools, and good mix of shopping and restaurants. They also have a “Center for the Arts” that is the home of five Resident Companies: Central West Ballet, Community Concerts Association, Performing Arts, Symphony Orchestra, and Opera. You are also just an hour or two from Yosemite National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, and Sequoia National Park, among others, and an hour and a half or so drive from of San Francisco. For someone interested in California, this city is a very good place to both live and too work with all the amenities just a short drive away. As a physician practicing in this community, you are not constrained from developing and building a strong long term viable practice as you would be in the other major California metros. With a draw area of nearly a million patients, and a real need for someone with your practice skills, you will have an ability to build your practice without the added stress of competing for patients with other locally established physicians, which you will find in the major metro areas of California. In essence, you have: • A good
