Provides administrative leadership through the development and monitoring of all strategic, operational, and marketing plans for the occupational medicine service line, which includes DMH Corporate Health Services, SHORE, Employee Health, Corporate Health Radiology, and all off-site occupational medicine facilities managed by Decatur Memorial Hospital through the department.

Essential Functions and Job Duties

•Serves as the service Line Champion for occupational medicine.

?Develops strategic plans and operating plans for the service line consistent with DMH strategic plan.

?Develops and monitors progress of annual jobs and objectives to ensure successful achievement of strategic priorities.

?Anticipates and responds to market changes.

•Creates an accessible, integrated and accountable service delivery system that is designed to be continuous, comprehensive and cost-effective to targeted service area populations and third party payors.

•Analyzes market research, population demographics, competitor profiles, network alliances and managed care initiatives. Recommends appropriate strategies to respond to market opportunities and threats to sustain and expand regional services and market share. Develops marketing strategies and plans to meet program goals.

•Develops and authorizes expenditures for the operating and capital budget for the service line and provides appropriate program and cost justification for additions or changes in resource needs. Completes financial feasibility analysis for new programs, services, equipment, etc.

•Provides leadership for service line clinical resource management and measures outcome initiative, including service line benchmarking and maintains database. Facilitates the development and monitoring of client protocols. Maintains appropriate quality monitoring, quality improvement and safety programs.

•Develops and implements strategies to increase corporate business activity and maintain effective corporate relations. Pursues timely resolution to operational concerns and issues voiced by client stakeholders.

•Supports business community relation activities to identify and promote program and service line opportunities within the business community and region. Coordinates all marketing activities associated within the product area of responsibility.

•Ensures all programs and facilities are in compliance with external regulatory accreditation and licensing standards, as well as managed care payor requirements.

•Implements workforce strategies that support recruitment and retention of employees and aligns their work efforts with the institution mission, vision, values and goals.

•Performs other duties as assigned.
