(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Hospital/Clinic – Financial - 13-week temp assignment with the potential to become perm. Accounts receivable Representative needed in Jackson, Michigan. 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms
Work on outstanding A|R for Homecare, Hospice and HME. Assist with payment posting and adjustment write offs.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit|dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any.
Computers, calculators.

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc.
Previous billing, A|R, and cash posting in a medical related job experience required.

4. Specific licensures and certifications|registrations required. (BLS, ACLS, NCCPA|AANP) Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required?

Minimum Education
High school graduate or GED

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year healthcare billing experience AND|OR
Completion of or enrollment in an accredited Billing and Coding program within six (6) months of hire

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge and experience with medical terminology either through educational or work experiences.
Data entry skills, strong math, accounting|bookkeeping skills
Detail oriented
Excellent written and verbal communications and strong customer service skills required.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in healthcare billing and coding.
Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position, preferred.

5. Shift or schedule requirements. (What support staff are in the clinic; Is a doctor available by phone, in the clinic, etc.) Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?
Days, 8a to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays.

6. Number of patients in a day; who do they have as support staff?
A|R Manager and Supervisor will support as well as A|R team members.

7. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

8. Dress Code:
Business Casual

9. Tell us about the unit|department specific training and orientation program.
Training should be minimal due to experience of staff being requested. Training and orientation are completed by a peer.
