Job Title: CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant needed ASAP!

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant - ASAP Starts! 13 Weeks; 8 HR D|E|N; 40 HR|Week; LTC facility in Canby Minnesota is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant for a 13-week assignment with the potential to become perm. Excellent pay! Hospital Housing is provided.
1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Provides resident centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing|undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares. Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercise. Completes tasks related to dining and food preparation. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate. Provides a positive dining experience. Accurately documents outcomes related to resident cares, behaviors, activities and dietary. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational; follows consistent hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment use. Provides assistance|documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit|dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Currently paper documentation is completed by the certified nursing asssistants.

3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
CNA training and certification required.

4. Specific licensures and certifications|registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Certified Nursing Assistant and required to be on the MN CNA registry. Alzheimers education, basic ADL;s and care related activiites, MN Vulnerable adult training.

5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
CNA’s would only be working along during the night shift but we have a LPN or RN that floats between the households to assist. Weekends are required. Call is not required. Current open shifts are between 1400-2230 and 2200-0630.

6. Floating to over units|departments. (If so, to which units|departments?)
Sylvan Court LTC is home to up to 58 residents are three households. Each CNA will be assigned to a household per shift.

7. Bed size|number of rooms for this unit|dept.
Current census is 42 residents consisting of private or semi-private rooms.

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
Evenings on 1st floor the ratio is 2.75 aides to 20 residents and on nights the ratio is 1 aide to 20 residents | Evenings on 2nd floor is 2.75 aides to 17 residents and on nights the ratio is 1 aide to 17 residents.

9. Tell us about the unit|department specific training and orientation program.

Onsite housing is available across the street from Sanford Canby Medical Center. The house has a kitchen, living room, cable tv, wireless internet and private bedrooms
