Provides OB|GYN specialty care in a community health center.
Responsibilities:
Provides both out-patient and in-patient comprehensive OB|GYN care including but not limited to medical diagnosis, medical treatment, medical follow-up care, health promotion, disease prevention, medical consultation, medical referrals, urgent and emergency medical care|stabilization, referrals for hospitalization, and provides treatment for other common illnesses of pregnant patients within the scope of Physician’s practice. Provides in-patient OB|GYN care. Provides follow up out-patient and in-patient care. Works directly with other physicians in the management of patient case loads in the Agency’s health centers. Provides supervision and consultation services to Nurse Practitioners as assigned, and provides consultation service to other Physicians. Precepts Medical Students, Nurse Practitioner students and Residents as assigned. Provides on-call coverage for OB|GYN patients. . Adheres to Agency’s managed care requirements.
