The Radiation Oncology department at US Oncology San Antonio is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, Certified Medical Dosimetrist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology dosimetry including a high level of expertise with IMRT.

US Oncology has more than 175 locations throughout Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Our network is not a single institution. It is the driving passion of more than 420 physicians collectively focused on treating cancer and blood disorders with leading-edge technology and innovative research no matter where you live. On average, we treat more than 50,000 new cancer patients each year, with documented growth year over year. They pioneered the concept of community-based, outpatient, multidisciplinary cancer centers. We give local communities access to leading-edge technology that was previously only available in larger metropolitan areas. Texas Breast Specialists and Texas Urology Specialists are a part of US Oncology. The U.S. Oncology Network is owned by McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation.

US Oncology San Antonio is a group of four community-based cancer centers treating more than 120 patients daily. The centers work interchangeably with each other and collaborate with near-by Oncology facilities in San Marcos and Austin.

Equipment:

Varian True Beam; 2-Varian 21iX with 120 Millennium MLC and OBI (kV and CBCT), 21EX (80 Millennium), 2-Siemens Somatom CT Scanners (16 slice),2-GE Lite Speed CT Scanners (4 slice), GE-mobile PET|CT, GE Ultrasound, Nucletron HDR, Carestream CR System, Varian Eclipse, Philips Pinnacle, RadCalc,Elekta MOSAIQ, and MIM software.

Team:

3 board certified radiation oncologists, 4 medical physicists, 4 medical dosimetrists, 13 radiation therapists, 4 CT technologists, 1 PET technologist, 2 ultrasound technologists, and 5 medical assistants.

Qualifications:

Desired - Medical Dosimetry certification
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience: 3 years
