Job description:
A high level of coding and documentation guidelines and clinical skills is required to participate collaboratively with all members of the care team. Must have strong critical thinking skills and exceptional ability to integrate knowledge, observations, communication, and decision-making abilities for highest quality outcomes. Must have the ability to assess, evaluate, and teach all members of the care team. Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills required. Understand, interpret and facilitate improvement of the hospital’s case mix index. Proficient in MS DRG/ICD-9 assignments. Proficient with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance rules/regulations for both outpatient/observation/inpatient guidelines and expectations. Must be eligible and willing for further certifications as established by CMH and regulatory agencies.
