Our client is a not for profit mental health company which has been providing comprehensive mental health services for almost 30 years. We are currently seeking a Full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who would be able to work in our Germantown, Maryland Outpatient Mental Health Clinics. 
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an integral in the treatment and care of our clients and provides psychiatric medication monitoring as well as diagnostic assessments to children and adults with a wide range of disorders.

The position would diagnose, treat, and provide medication assessments for clients of various diagnosis and ages in an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic setting.

You will need two or more years of training and direct service experience diagnosing, treating and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of children and adolescents and adults, as well as collaborate with the primary therapist for each patient. 

Experience is evident by the provision of face to face treatment and interventions with patients with a primary mental health diagnosis and the purpose of the treatment is related to those diagnoses.

Must be licensed by the state of Maryland as a Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with active DEA.
Experienced, knowledgeable psychopharmacologist for treatment provision to children and adolescents as well as adults.
Ability to work in Germantown, MD.
Ability to regularly use a computer for entering notes, research, and documentation.
Skilled in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention and multitasking in a team care approach
Thorough knowledge of the state of Maryland service definitions
Familiarity with community resources, strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
Understanding of and ability to implement quality assurance practices
Appropriate professional degree from an accredited University
