Job Title: Physician / Psychiatrist

Omaha    (Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - Psychiatrist
We are in need of a Psychiatrist who can see patients on a daily basis, manage medications, and will be seeking new therapies to treat patients dealing with pain, depression. We are a thriving practice with a large number of patients.
Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing community-based psychiatric assessment and treatment services to adults and|or children, including those in crisis including in the clinic, home, or community setting. As a member of treatment team, sign off on treatment plans and assessments. Responsible for providing psychiatric care and medication evaluation and management to a range of individuals having Serious Mental Illness (SMI), developmental disability (DD), and|or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) to include 24-hour on-call coverage. Provide clinical supervision, education, and training to clinical staff to include providing oversight supervision to Nurse Practitioner(s). Develop, maintain, and supervise the ongoing process for the delivery of medications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assess individual needs for medications and prescribe medications to individuals with SMI, DD, and|or SUD diagnosis, and provide appropriate ongoing supervision of individuals receiving medications through the Counseling Centers. Review and monitor potential side effects of medications with clients.
• Evaluate and assess individuals referred by Counseling Center staff and|or other outside agencies to include but not limited to: conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests, and evaluating results.
• Develop treatment plans by determining nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders, and establish treatment goals and methodologies. As a member of treatment team, sign off on treatment plans and assessments.
• Pursue and maintain waiver and complete training to provide Medication Assisted Treatment to individuals with opioid use and substance use disorders. Provide Medication Assisted Treatment to individuals eligible for the treatment.
• Provide face-to-face and telepsych evaluations and crisis consultations during daytime schedule and respond to requests for telephone consultation after work hours. Provide consultation to staff who is involved in providing all services, including emergency services. Perform on-call rotation to 24|7 crisis stabilization and emergency services treatment team.
• Provide psychiatric consultation and education to Counseling Center staff, other Mount Rogers Community Services staff, as needed, and act as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing consultation and recommendations for treatment. Conduct training and staff development. Provide oversight supervision to Nurse Practitioner(s). Provide consultation and education to local physicians as needed in an effort to provide coordinated services for individuals and to establish and maintain rapport with the medical community.
• Provide education and consultation to individuals' family members.
• Serve as a physician supervisor of Medicaid Clinic Option Psychotherapy cases. Complete all documentation required by regulatory bodies and Agency. Keep all trainings up-to-date, and participate in required continuing education.
EXPERIENCE|EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Nebraska.
Strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to individuals with SMI, ID, and|or SUD preferred.
Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record required.
Background check and fingerprinting required.
