Job Title: Nurse Instructor

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Education/Training - Fantastic opportunity for a RN Instructor at a beautiful facility located near Petersburg, VA.

Regional Medical Center is a 300 bed facility located in a 50 acre campus with 380 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. They serve the communities of Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights, Fort Lee and Chester and the counties of Prince George, Dinwiddie, Sussex, Surry and Southern Chesterfield.

Position Summary:

Develop, implement, and evaluate the philosophy and objectives of the nursing program; design, implement teach, evaluate and revise the curriculum. Develop and evaluate student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies within the framework of the School and controlling institution. Actively participate in advisement and academic counseling of students enrolled in the program. Provide opportunities for student, graduate and employer evaluation of the curriculum, instruction, and program effectiveness; analyze data to guide improvement in the program. Actively participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Systematic Evaluation Plan for the Nursing Program. Maintains the professional practice knowledge base needed to instruct learners in evidence based nursing practice.

Qualifications:

· 2 years’ of recent experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital setting.

· Must have experience as a Clinical Instructor.

· Mastery of principles and practice of nursing and adult education

· Computer literacy; competency with audiovisual equipment

· Baccalaureate Degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

· Master’s Degree in nursing preferred.

· PHD or DNP in nursing preferred.

· Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of VA.

· BLS & ACLS required.
