Job Title: Family Practice Physician

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Family Practice - Physicians perform the full scope of Internal Medicine and Family Practice. No distinction is made between adults who receive care from a family practitioner versus from an internist (unless it is a problem that a particular FP is not comfortable with). Overall, the practice tends to be a bit older with more adults 50-65 years old and geriatrics. The children in the practice receive care from our pediatrician and pediatric nurse practitioner. We are committed to truly getting to know our patients, fostering long-term physician|patient relationships, and to providing high quality, personalized, comprehensive care for our patients. Such care ranges from treatment of an acute illness to management of chronic medical conditions to counseling for depression to end-of-life care in a home hospice setting.
The typical workday is 8:00-5:00, plus charting and so on. Office patients are scheduled 8:30-11:45 and 1:00-4:45. Physicians are usually out of the last patient’s room by 5:00. When you depart for the evening is a matter of how you prefer to keep up with your Centricity entries, clinical phone calls, and other paperwork (all at once or in between every few patients); most physicians leave for the day within 30-90 minutes of seeing their last patient. On the other hand, some doctors prefer to leave sooner and finish paperwork and other documentation tasks in the morning, before 8:30. You will have the option to access Centricity over a high speed internet connection at your home, enabling you to complete your daily charting and check your electronic desktop from home at your convenience. A typical office day is 16-22 patients, depending on the mix of appointment types.

Other benefits include:

? 401(k) self-directed retirement plan with immediate vesting schedule for employer contribution (match). You may contribute up to the IRS approved amount per year of your income on a pre-tax basis to this plan. If you contribute at least 5% of your salary to the plan, CCFHS will provide an employer match at 4%.
