Job Description General Summary: Provides outpatient mental health care to patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic setting that serves 800-1000 clients in Southeast Idaho.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate adults|adolescents|children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder.
Analyze and evaluate patient data|information and examine findings to diagnose behavioral health disorder(s).
Prescribe medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of patient’s conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary clinic setting with clinicians, RN’s, MA’s, psychologists, therapists|counselors, social workers, substance abuse counselors, and peer support staff.
Provide care based on current evidence based guidelines and practices.
Follow clinic guidelines and quality assurance practices.
Ensure company’s objectives for quality of care for patients as well as meeting fiscal goals.

Job Requirements:
Possess current and valid licensure from State Board of Nursing and National Certification
Obtain and maintain valid prescriptive authority
Maintain certification from state and national certification body
Achieve high quality of care of mental health patients
Participate in team treatment meetings and collaborative care
Possess organizational skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication skills
Meet clinic documentation requirements for reimbursements.

One year providing direct patient care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders is preferred.
