Job Title: Psych MD/DO Adult and Addiction Medicine

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - Psychiatric Physician's needed

Want to provide quality care in a collaborative, integrative healthcare setting in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced psychiatrist to join a team of psychiatrists and support staff dedicated to the protection and promotion of each patient’s recovery

Responsibilities:

Perform evaluations, make diagnoses, and provide medication management for individuals with major mental disorder, serious mental illness, and|or substance use disorder
Provide counseling and education to individuals served
Complete concurrent documentation in electronic health record
Participate in treatment team, morning huddles, and provide relevant consultation and education to treatment team members

Qualifications & Skills:

Licensure as a Medical Doctor through the Louisiana Board of State Medical Examiners
Highly skilled in the implementation and delivery of behavioral health services
Experience and|or familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone) in an ambulatory detox setting and has or is willing to obtain a DATA Waiver to prescribe Suboxone
Valid DEA assigned number
High ethical standards and personal integrity
Focus on improving health outcomes by using best practices, ingenuity, and strong analytical skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively at different levels with different audiences
