Job Title: Quality Assurance & Safety Officer

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Laboratory Management/Supervisor - Full-time Quality Assurance & Safety Officer needed at a laboratory in North Dakota!

Hours | week, Mon-Fri: 8 hr shift between 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., no weekends

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance and Safety Officer provides leadership for the development of a quality organizational structure; maintains working knowledge of current regulations and standards of all agencies applicable to laboratory, pathology and blood banking industries; establishes, coordinates, implements, and maintains processes and tools to effectively meet applicable regulatory requirements; oversees and coordinates the performance of internal audits throughout the department; makes decisions and recommendations to address identified compliance concerns and opportunities; demonstrates proficiency with software programs; oversees and maintains the quality assurance and safety manuals, data bases, testing programs, records and other related information; assists with hosting|coordinating|data collection and general preparation for all inspections; develops, conducts and documents the training and competency of department staff; chairs pathology and laboratory quality assurance and safety committee, and participates in committees, workgroups and meetings.

* BS degree in Medical Technology|Clinical Laboratory Science|Medical Laboratory Scientist or Associate degree in MLT|CLT and equivalent work experience, or Bachelors degree in related field such as chemistry or microbiology.
* Three (3) years professional laboratory work experience or one (1) year quality assurance focused work experience.
* Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards as they apply to pathology and laboratory quality and safety.
* Must possess excellent human relations, organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Knowledge of quality assurance is essential.

* The ability to utilize and apply College level math and statistical analysis tools.
* Computer skills | experience necessary to work in various organizational programs that support quality and safety processes (MS Office, including Access).
* Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Manager of Quality|Organizational Excellence (CMQ|OE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
