(Physician/MD qualifications required) Addiction Medicine - FQHC 30 Minutes North of Boston is seeking a physician who has completed an addiction fellowship, has significant experience working in addictions field or has a certification in addictions to take on the role of Director of Addiction Medicine Services.

The Addiction Medicine Director will work closely with senior management in the assessment and development of Addiction Programming. The Director has a lead role in administratively assessing and supervising team-based work flows, team-based care, is a lead in developing programs and quality improvement projects from an addiction’s standpoint across the health center.

The Director is the team leader of the complex addiction program and behavioral health complex addiction program staff report directly to the Addiction Medicine Director. The Director will assist in the supervision of assigned prescribers that see patients with dual diagnosis and addictions. The Director conducts routine needs assessment on current addiction programming with a focus on quality improvement and program development. Plays a lead role in developing addiction programming, treatment guidelines, and policies.

Leads complex addiction team treatment team meetings and facilitate communication with team members and outside providers. Provides consultation as indicated and deemed appropriate to patient care providers and others within health center around matters related to addiction. Trains and educates BH and primary care providers on evidence-based addiction practices.

Qualifications: Have an X-license to prescribe Suboxone. Significant experience and training in working with patients with dual diagnosis and addictions. Previous experience in program management, program development, supervision, and quality improvement.
