We are recruiting a new Medical Director and Attending Psychiatrist (C|A and Adult Services). Mix of Residential Treatment and Outpatient. Employed fulltime (Monday - Friday schedule) with call 1-2 times during the week and no weekend call. Position|duties include administrative clinical management and direct clinical care of patients in hospital based services of inpatient, outpatient and partial programs. The Medical Director will work closely with staff on quality improvement initiatives, utilization management and risk management, providing clinical administrative supervision to other physicians and clinical staff. Program development and liaison activities with community referral sources and managed care companies are also activities the medical Director is involved in. The direct clinical care duties include initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and management of a limited patient caseload. Located just 50 miles south of Indianapolis!

• Board Certified General or Child|Adolescent Psychiatry with approximately ten (10) years combined inpatient(at least 5 years) and outpatient experience
• Three (3) years experience as a Medical Director or Associate Medical Director| Service Line Director
• Demonstrated skill in managing a Medical Staff, working with Leadership and Administration in overseeing Hospital-wide Quality|Performance Improvement, familiarity with OPPE and FPPE processes, and physician recruitment|retention
• Comfortable with working with NPs and PAs
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Awareness of Risk Management issues and concerns
• Ability to assist Medical Staff in meeting the expectations of excellent clinical care within an aggressive managed care environment
• Ability to work with other disciplines to develop and refine efficient and innovative processes that reflect the challenges of today’s behavioral health environment
• Ability to build bridges in the community with other physician colleagues
