Haverhill    (Physician/MD qualifications required) Pain Management - We are seeking a Physician board certified or board eligible for an interventional pain private Practice to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Location: Haverhill, MA 89145

Job duties include:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic pain disorders.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the physiology of pain
• the ability to evaluate patients with complicated pain problems
• understanding of specialized tests for diagnosing painful conditions
• appropriate prescribing of medications to varying pain problems
• Skills to perform procedures (such as nerve blocks and spinal injections
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

• Have an in-depth knowledge of the physiology of pain
• the ability to evaluate patients with complicated pain problems

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed in the state of Massachusetts
• Board certified or board eligible
• Good knowledge base of musculo-skeletal pathology and treatment is essential
• Must have the ability to relate to patients in chronic pain
• Must understand the difference between chronic and acute pain
• Expected to coherently explain why increased pain is not necessarily related to increased tissue damage and how deconditioning leads to increased pain and depression

This is a full-time position.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
