(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - A private, not-for-profit community mental health center providing a full spectrum of professional mental health services to the residents of Union, Ouachita, Columbia, Dallas, Nevada, and Calhoun counties is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join the behavioral healthcare team.

The BH team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatric nurses, and other professionals skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of personal problems using individual, family, and group counseling.

The staff psychiatrist provides a variety of direct and consultation services. Provide services to psychiatric outpatient services including psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication sessions, approval of treatment plans, and other routine services.

Provide emergency psychiatric and substance abuse services during office hours and occasionally backup the physician on call service via telephone. Provide face-to-face and telephone consultation to clinical staff. Participate in peer review process and other quality of care efforts.

The Center’s outpatient programs include services for youth, adults, and elders with a wide range of emotional problems including stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and family and marital difficulties.

The center offers a variety of treatment and services to assist all walks of life with problems such as anxiety, stress, family disturbances, school or work adjustment problems, depression, and many other behavioral health problems. Intensive services and programs are provided for those that need more intensive treatment and|or hospitalization.
