Seeking a full time Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Neurosurgery practice in the St. Paul and surrounding metro area. In this role, the NP or PA will practice independently and collaboratively to deliver care to a wide variety of Neurosurgery patients with acute and traumatic conditions of the brain and spine, and chronic and surgical conditions in the inpatient setting to include the clinic, emergency room, intensive care unit, operating room and neurosurgical unit. As a surgical first assistant you will work closely with the surgeon to facilitate the procedure and process of surgery. This job can be demanding, therefore emotional stamina and physical endurance are required. The ideal candidate has extensive critical care experience and functions at an expert level.

  • Graduate of a school or nursing and accredited Adult/Gero, Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner training program, or accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC, or NCCPA.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, or PA license through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
  • BLS and ACLS Certified
  • 3-5 years experience strongly preferred in Critical Care, Surgery or Emergency Care Specialty.
  • Experience in Neurosurgery and/or Neuro critical Care preferred.
