(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent) - Non-profit organization providing mental health counseling, psychiatry, and specialized support programs to people of all ages living in Barnstable, Bristol, Hampton, Plymouth, and Worcester counties is seeking a child psychiatrist.

Child Psychiatrist will join the team in the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and provide support to a 10 bed Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) unit providing intensive short term care to children and adolescents, aged 4 – 17.

Child Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to include evaluating psychiatric, neurological, and psychopharmacological status of patients. Develop diagnoses and behaviorally oriented treatment plans. Prescribe and manage medications (psychopharmacology). Evaluate patients for hospitalization. Develop policies and protocols for pharmacological procedures. Participate in planning and development of psychiatric and mental health services within a managed care framework. Provide emergency and crisis intervention services. Provide consultation (when needed), to staff and other service providers. Assess and refer, where appropriate, non-psychiatric health problems. Provide Psychiatric evaluation and consultation for patients on the CBAT unit. Participate in multidisciplinary team and Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.
