(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Psychiatry/Mental Health-NP - Seeking a Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Physician Assistant to join a great team! This is a full time (permanent role) located in the North Shore area of Boston. Great opportunity to join a top community health system. This is an outpatient role working within a clinic setting. Must have at least 2 years of experience working with all age groups.

Opening for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician’s Assistant (PA). Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP)|Physician’s Assistant, in collaboration with the supervising psychiatrist, will provide continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages and genders. The PMHNP|Physician’s Assistant will provide direct clinical service to patients, provide clinical supervision to interns and staff, be involved in quality improvement activities, other administrative activities, and help to develop programming as needed. Care may be delivered at any of our locations or virtually via tele-health. As a team member at our health center, you will work with staff who are racially, ethnically and culturally diverse, so being culturally competent is required. A sense of humor is also very important!


• Works as an integral member of the integrated health care team which includes careful attention to customer service, population management, appropriate delegation and participation in the quality initiatives of the health center.

• Provides for biopsychosocial clinical evaluations, examination, and diagnosis utilizing DSM V diagnoses.

• Collaborates with other providers involved in client care, including nursing, medical providers, behavioral health clinicians, community health workers, social agencies, hospitals, schools, etc.

• Coordinates patient care.

• Serves as a patient advocate.

• Provides psychiatric and psychopharmacology consultation to members of the care team.

• Provides psychopharmacological evaluation and management of patients

• Provides patient and family education

• Seeks professional continuing education to remain current in treatment practice.

• Maintains appropriate and timely medical records on patients under care.


• Master’s Degree in Nursing with certification as a PMHNP or graduate of a certified Physician’s Assistant program

• Two plus years of experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant preferred

• Current licensure to practice psychiatric nursing in Massachusetts.

• Experience in community health care.

• Must have reliable transportation to travel between sites.

• Preference will be given to bilingual|bicultural individuals who are Spanish or Portuguese.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with commitment to establishing a safe and respectful environment for team members

• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
