Position Summary: We are seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for a well-respected out-patient clinic setting in Blue Island, IL. The RN would be responsible for outreach to a broad and diverse patient population. The Clinical Nurse (RN) must be able to maintain flexibility and organization in working with patients from a diverse background. The Clinical Nurse (RN) will also work closely with the interdisciplinary team including the nurse manager as well as various referring positions, including outreach workers.
Essential Job Functions:
• Coordinate Contact Tracing Staff Activities for Patients
• Education of staff on protocols for contact tracing
• Provide results notifications and respond to clinical questions from patients regarding their care
• Serves as resource for patients with clinical questions
• Differentiates patient care issues
• Assures timely collection of project data reflecting Contact Tracing. Reports this data to the Nurse Manager.
• Performs other duties as requested by Nurse Manager
Required Qualifications:
• Clinical experience required
• Registration and possession of current RN license in State of Illinois
• Possess excellent decision making and communication skills
• Possess effective teaching skills in working with staff and patient population
• Possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with insurance coverage including Medicare, IDPA and commercial providers
