$10,000 Sign on bonus, plus relocation
License: Certified Perfusion Perfusionist
Function: To provide safe, competent and knowledgeable care of patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass, circulatory assist or other related procedures. To participate as an active member of the cardiac surgical team along with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other nursing staff members. The incumbent must maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and self-development activities.
Education: The staff perfusionist must be a graduate of an accredited school of perfusion, is Board Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and must obtain licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Experience: New staff perfusionists enter a planned departmental orientation program to become familiar with perfusion techniques and also to become familiar with the surgical department.
