Full-time | No weekends
$20K Sign-On Bonus, to be PIF on very first paycheck (with 2 year commitment)

This Hospital is a 763-bed healthcare facility. The hospital is known for being the region's only Level II trauma center, as well as being home to the only Children's Hospital in the western portion of the state.

SUMMARY
As the Director of Emergency Services, you will lead the third busiest ER within HCA. This ER is 90,000 square feet with 94 exam rooms and averages 260 visits|daily. They also have their own ground service comprised of 32 ambulances as well as two helicopters for air flight.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Master's degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in emergency services required
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and|or experience

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:
• Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred

ED Summary:
• 3rd busiest ER in HCA
• ED is 90,000 square feet
• 94 exam rooms
• One main ED with both Adult and Pediatrics
• Overall, they see ~260 patients|day, ~95,000 patients|year
• The Pediatric is for ages 0-21 and they see ~12,000 patients|year. They are in conversation now with idea of adding a Peds Coordinator.
• They own 32 ambulances and have own ground service
• Also own 2 helicopters
• They are on Cerner – plan to stay on this for now
• Position reports directly to their COO
• Will have 3 nurse managers (days, nights and weekends) and a DDP candidate - 9 supervisor nurses
• 140 FTE’s
• 11 forensic nurses

• Prior HCA experience for this Director is welcome

Compensation Details (Salary, Sign-On, Relo Asst. Shift diff, benefits, etc.)
Mid-Range and Max for Perm: $120K - $150K
Base plus 15% Director Incentive Bonus
