Job Description
Our client is seeking a Psychiatrist to join their progressive and exciting practice in Sacramento, California. This innovative group has carved out a unique niche in the market and is now looking for a Psychiatrist who will have the potential to serve in a Medical Director capacity. You will be mainly be working at an inpatient facility with the occasional bit of outpatient work at an associated clinic. This is an innovative organization with a commitment to changing things for the better, just like Sacramento itself. There was a recently completed shopping center in Downtown Sacramento, a brand-new stadium, a growing midtown with thriving nightlife, and Sacramento was also recently host to Wide Open Walls—a massive event where internationally recognized artists put up breathtaking murals across the city. Living in Sacramento also means you’re a short drive from one of the planet’s best skiing destinations, Lake Tahoe and one of North America’s most diverse and exciting cities, San Francisco.
Details:
• Full-time, permanent position
• Flexible hours and scheduling
• Mostly inpatient, with a bit of clinic work
• Provide personalized patient-centered care
• Develop treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes
• Accurately chart according to practice guidelines
• Perform psychiatric evaluations covering the patient’s mental status, symptoms, and health histories

Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Unrestricted and valid California medical license
• Experience performing electroconvulsive therapy
• Experience with neuromodulation preferred, but training will be provided, if necessary
• At least 2 years of experience in an ambulatory mental health setting or private psychiatric practice
