Western    (Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Laboratory Management/Supervisor - The Lab Director, Laboratory Services manages and sets policy for the operation of the Laboratory Departments. Proficiency in performance of procedures in all areas. Is responsible for the administration and supervision of designated patient care departments. Coordinates services with other departments, physicians, and the community to deliver the highest standard of care. Maintains the quality of services to meet stringent standards of care set by regulatory bodies.

The Lab Director, Laboratory Services manages and sets policy for the operation of the Laboratory Departments. Proficiency in performance of procedures in all areas. Is responsible for the administration and supervision of designated patient care departments. Coordinates services with other departments, physicians, and the community to deliver the highest standard of care. Maintains the quality of services to meet stringent standards of care set by regulatory bodies.

Education:
Graduate of an approved or accredited school of Medical Technology; MLS (MT) (ASCP). Bachelor's degree certificate.



Experience:
Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years clinical laboratory experience. Prefer 1 to 3 years management experience.



Skills:
Demonstrates skills in communication conflict resolution and human relations. Must exhibit a team approach. Must be knowledgeable of fiscal and general healthcare issues, trends, quality management and legal aspects of laboratory practice and standards. Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Requires good interpersonal skills. Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment and multiple demands|deadlines. Position requires some overtime and ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously. Must be emotional mature and able to function effectively under stress. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions and document care given in English. Ability to plan and organize.



Licenses|Certifications:
MLS or MT (ASCP Certificate. Board of Registry certificate.
