We are looking for a Physical Therapist to join our office full time in Stony Point, NY to provide patients with all phases of physical therapy.
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapist who is passionate about improving the health and quality of life of our patients. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, a people person who is a team player- collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide the highest quality care, helping our patients reach their health and wellness goals, effectively and efficiently.
Duties:
• Patient Consultation-review health and medical histories, exam patients, review pertinent medical records|imaging, and reason for visit
• Consult with referring Physicians regarding diagnosis
• Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs
• Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques to include exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, modalities (ultrasound), activities of daily living, pool therapy, orthotron testing, and nautilus program
• Communicate changes via progress notes to referring physicians
• Communicate with referring Physicians and Physical Therapy Assistants regarding patient therapy and equipment
• Communicate with potential referral sources to expand existing business and cultivate new business
• Communicate with Physical Therapy Assistants to perform interim therapy evaluations to continually modify and update treatment programs
• Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment such as ultrasound equipment, nautilus equipment and orthotron machines
• Compose discharge notes for patients, refer to appropriate outside sources, as necessary
• Patient education on the benefits of PT and home exercises
• Documentation|progress notes- accurate and timely records, Document treatments rendered on billing sheets and in appropriate patient charts, Record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit
• Collaboration with the other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
• Communicate effectively to explain and maintain a patient treatment plan
• Create an excellent experience for patients through a friendly and focused attitude
• Listen carefully and respond in a way that is understandable to the average patient
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• PT license in NY
• Prior PT work experience required
• All candidates MUST complete our employment application
Schedule:
• 4 -10-hour shifts or 5 -8 hour shifts
• Monday through Friday
Salary:
• $90K + (depending on years of experience)
