Responsibilities
Histology Technicians perform specimen accessioning and assist with frozen sections within the Laboratory. This individual performs quantitative, qualitative, and subjective lab procedures by manual and automated methods for inpatient and outpatient specimens across all disciplines of the lab. The Histo Tech I accurately performs quality assurance, calibrations, and quality control processes. Embedding, microtome, tissue processing, and immunohistochemistry processes are all utilized in this profession.
