General Summary:
The Staff Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, daily patient rounding, and treatment and discharge planning.
Provides psychiatric services to adults and children with serious and persistent mental illnesses.
Evaluates patients by interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
Knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine; and of principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans. 
Regular discussions with patients about their problems; help them find solutions through changes in their behavioral patterns, the exploration of their past experiences, or group and family therapy sessions. 
Total communication (verbal and written) and consultation with clients, center staff, and other agencies as requested.
A successful candidate will have a background of working in a matrixed, team-based environment, experience with adult (and pediatric) populations, and passion for helping persons with mental illness achieve optimal physical, mental, and social health and wellness outcomes.

Seeking a BE|BC Psychiatrist for inpatient services.  Offers several treatment programs for adults facing a number of difficulties. Our inpatient services focus on crisis stabilization using a multidisciplinary team treatment approach. This approach uses group therapy, skill-building and recreation and relaxation activities to treat patients for psychiatric, substance abuse or co-occurring disorders. Offering $375K base, plus productivity.    

Fulltime employed staff position. Monday – Friday Schedule.  No weekend Call required.  Competitive compensation package with benefits.  

 
Qualifications:
Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) Psychiatrist
Traditional Office Hours with Flexible Call Schedule
