Microbiologist Senior Technologist **Day Shift - Full time Opportunity** **Competitive Pay Full Benefits package** **Sign-on Offered** We're seeking an experienced Lead Microbiology Medical Technologist to supervise and manage our laboratory operations. Your responsibilities include training, testing, equipment maintenance, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Job Description: A Microbiologist Senior Technologist is responsible for performing advanced laboratory techniques to identify, culture, and study microorganisms. This may include tasks such as designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results. They may also be responsible for supervising junior technologists and lab technicians, as well as maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. Additionally, they may be involved in the development of new methods and techniques for microbiological analysis. They also may be responsible for keeping accurate records, preparing reports, and presenting findings to colleagues and management. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or related field • ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and techniques • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise Responsibilities: • Supervise and train laboratory staff on laboratory policies and procedures • Perform laboratory testing and analysis, including but not limited to: bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CAP, CLIA, and OSHA regulations • Provide guidance and support to laboratory staff on complex testing procedures and problem-solving • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of laboratory results If you think you would be a good fit for this role and are interested in taking the next step in your career, send your information and contact the recruiter below Mia Simonton / Recruiter mia @mleehealthcare.com 917-791-2000
