About the position:
- Full-time academic faculty physician position in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Opportunity to join the core faculty team in an academic and clinical environment
- Role focused on teaching the next generation of physicians, including residents and medical students
- Participate in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and other educational activities
- Involvement in the department’s clinical care, research, and teaching missions
- Supervision and education of medical students and residents in multiple clinical settings, including:
- Inpatient services
- Labor & Delivery
- Operating Room
- Outpatient clinics
- Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues engaged in local, regional, and national healthcare access initiatives
- Participation in a department with externally funded research programs
- Opportunities to engage in basic science research, including work related to hypertensive diseases in pregnancy
- Access to a cadaveric surgical training facility used for OB/GYN resident and student education
- Involvement in quality improvement initiatives across inpatient and outpatient care settings
Background Profile: OB/GYN Faculty
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree
- Completion of a 4-year OB/GYN residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Federally issued DEA license
- Board-eligible candidates must obtain board certification as soon as feasible
