45 miles west of Atlanta (Physician/MD qualifications required) Palliative Care/Hospice - This west Georgia Health System is recruiting an experienced Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Palliative Medicine physician to expand our current palliative care service line, by offering inpatient and limited outpatient services in west Georgia.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• • Join an established collaborative and collegial inpatient palliative care team comprised of one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker and help us develop an outpatient program that will enhance and grow the Palliative Care services offered by Tanner Health System.
• • Function as a program builder by overseeing the design & implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, to ultimately include Home Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• • Experience practicing Palliative Medicine in an acute care hospital setting with program management experience preferred.
Education
• • Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• • Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine or General Surgery
• • Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
• • Current GA Medical License or must meet eligibility requirements
Schedule:
• • Monday – Friday (5 days|40 hours per week).
