(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Professional - Position Objective: Provide services as a Medical Officer in support of the overall functions of the Division of Intramural Research (DIR), Laboratory of Allergic Diseases (LAD) within the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).


Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide expert clinical care to adult and pediatric patients with allergic diseases including asthma, atopic dermatitis, EoE, sinusitis|polyposis, and drug allergy in the Allergy-Sinus clinic of the NIH.
• Assist and work with clinical fellows and nurse practitioners and other lab members.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary physicians in ENT, dermatology, and infectious diseases for comprehensive patient management.
• Provide clinical care in the hospital setting including consultative care.
• Assist with clinical SOPs review and edit with other clinical fellows fostering a positive environment within the clinic.
• Assist and collaborate with colleagues to engage in clinical or basic research related to mechanisms, phenotypes or endotypes of allergic diseases or associated immunodysregulatory diseases.
• Assist with analyze, review, and publish research findings to contribute to scientific knowledge.
• Conceptualize and assist with new research projects and initiatives with clinical fellows.
• Actively engage in A&I Program-related activities such as simulation, curriculum and programmatic design.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and collaboration with the Federal Task Leader and other investigators in the NIH Clinical Center and NIAID.

Basic Qualifications:
• M.D., D.D.S., or D.O. (or equivalent clinical degree).
• Minimum of Five or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience.
• Current board certification in Allergy-Immunology and meeting maintenance of certification requirements.
• Active medical licensure in the US, or the District of Columbia is required.
• Demonstrated experience and a strong interest in clinical research and education.
• Experience with designing and publishing clinical research.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Prior experience as core faculty within an Allergy-Immunology Fellowship training program is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff.
• Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
