Position Highlights:
18 bed observation unit
Responsible for admissions from the ED to the Obs unit, 4 hour touch bases with nursing and case management, and discharges (yes discharges happen overnight)
All labs, testing, etc… are stat so they can discharge|move the patient within 24 to 36 hours out of the unit
Hours: 7pm to 7am
Schedule: 5 nights on|5 nights off
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Codes: Run by CC team, but attend if it is in the Observation Unit
Full Subspecialty support
Hospitalist team and 2 Nocturnists at night for the APP to confer with
Acute Care Hospitalist experienced required
Compensation is $140k|year plus incentives
